Krasser Centurio Coil Storage and Handling

The Centurio is the world’s most automated coil processing system. For the first time, the entire coil processing operation has been automated–from changing coils to setting knives to simultaneously feeding slitters and rollformers. Push the start button and in less than two minutes coils have been selected and moved into position, knives have been changed and set, machines have started running, pieces have been slit-to-width and cut-to-length and rollforming panels have been produced–all with very little operator involvement and a massive reduction in scrap.

Options for Your Production Requirements

Straightening Function

A 5-roll or 7-roll straightening unit enables straightening of sheet metal using a progressively controlled straightening system. This automated system ensures reliable straightening results.

Roller Shear for Transverse Cut

The roller shear allows partial cross cuts and is carried out automatically from the left and right side of the sheet metal. This enables individual sheet metal cutting patterns with minimal waste. The setup allows for excellent quality.

Machine Operation

Straightforward and easy to use through one or several HMI displays at a machine system. Intuitive HMI screens and several language options allow user-friendly machine operation. The network- interface enables communication flexibility.

Automatic Slitting Knife Positioning

A maximum of 8 fully automated positioned slitting knife pairs allow for the fastest possible execution of cutting orders with the highest level of quality and precision.

Robust

A solid welded base frame, proven construction as well as mechanisms and processes that have been optimized over 20 years form a robust machine system with little space requirement.

Stand-alone or with Automated Coil Warehouse System

The CENTURIO system is available as a stand-alone system or with an automatic coil warehouse system. Simple subsequent extension possibilities ensure production flexibility and growth options.

Automatic Cutting Parameters

The CENTURIO system allows for assignment of material-specific cutting parameters (cutting gap, cutting depth, coil alignment force, straightening unit parameters,…). The automated machine configuration based on the saved cutting parameters ensures the highest cutting quality of your sheet metal.

Automatic Coil Warehouse Solution

The coils are transported fully automatic to the sheet metal cutting machine and the loose end of the coils are fed into the cutting machine using a patented mechanism which guarantees absolute protection of the material surface and does not require any manual operation.
